You’re sure to come away both relaxed and invigorated after this wonderful fall weekend in the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina. ZAP is a training center with space for a retreat of ten students. (While they support a team of postcollegiate elite runners, YOU needn't be elite to come!) Everything is taken care of. You will:
- sleep in the center’s clean, comfortable dormitory (private rooms for one or two with Jack-and-Jill baths)
- run the smooth trails in Moses Cone Memorial Park
- receive a custom gait analysis
- discuss ways to structure your season and learn what workouts will best suit your needs
- do yoga outside on the grass or ZAP’s “yoga platform” by the creek, as well as inside on a comfortable rubber floor
- eat home-cooked, healthy food and savor a little wine
- relax in the hot tub or take a cool plunge in the swimming hole
- enjoy each other’s company as well as some solitude (there is no TV and very little cell coverage, but fear not: you’ll have wi-fi)
- luxuriate in the feeling of finishing a run or a yoga practice knowing there’s nowhere else you need to be!
